Questions
Frequently asked questions
Mon – Sat: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm · Sunday: by prior appointment only · Please contact us in advance to schedule your appointment.
Call +91 73589 75682When should I consider a fertility evaluation?
If pregnancy is taking longer than expected, a fertility consultation can help assess possible factors affecting conception and determine whether further evaluation is appropriate.
Should both partners be tested?
Yes, usually. Fertility concerns can involve female factors, male factors, or a combination of both, so evaluating both partners gives a more complete picture.
Are all fertility tests done on the first visit?
Not necessarily. The tests recommended depend on your medical history, symptoms, previous treatment and the fertility specialist's assessment.
Does every fertility problem need IVF?
No. Treatment depends on the underlying cause and your individual circumstances. Options range from medication and cycle monitoring to IUI, IVF or other appropriate procedures.
What is the difference between IVF and ICSI?
In conventional IVF, eggs and sperm are placed together in the laboratory and fertilisation happens without injecting a sperm into the egg. In ICSI, a single sperm is injected directly into an egg to assist fertilisation.
Is IUI painful?
IUI is generally a simple procedure and most people feel little or no discomfort. Some may have mild cramping or temporary discomfort during or after it.
My previous treatment did not work. Is there still a way forward?
Previous unsuccessful treatment does not necessarily mean the next treatment will be unsuccessful. The fertility team can review your previous cycles and investigations before planning the next appropriate step.
